Microsoft is considering employing an Arm-based processor in the upcoming version of the Surface Go

according to Windows Central's Zac Bowden, though the decision is still being made.

Fans have frequently asked Microsoft to combine Windows on Arm and the Surface Go when the company first released Windows on Arm.

Budget-friendly gadgets frequently use platforms like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c, and as we've seen with laptops like the Samsung Galaxy Book Go

they may offer incredible value. Microsoft, though, has yet to make that move.

However, it appears that Microsoft will begin to take Arm devices seriously in 2022 after introducing Project Volterra and a full native developer toolchain at this year's Build

This development box is used to create and test software for Arm devices and is powered by an as-yet-unidentified Arm chip

This appears to be the ideal time for Microsoft to make the change.
