The largest-ever tremor ever recorded on another planet, in this case Mars, has been detected by NASA, which has dubbed the tremor a "monster quake."
According to a NASA news statement issued on Monday, a magnitude 5 earthquake struck on May 4, 2022, the 1,222nd Martian day of NASA's InSight Mars lander mission

The tremor on Earth would be classified "medium-sized," but it is nearing the upper limit of what scientists had hoped to see on Mars, according to NASA.
A crew will now investigate the earthquake in order to learn more about Mars' innards. Since landing on Mars in 2018
NASA's InSight spacecraft has recorded over 1,300 quakes, but the most recent "monster quake" will provide scientists with a unique perspective on the planet.
InSight's principal investigator, Bruce Banerdt, stated. "For years to come, scientists will be examining this data to learn new things about Mars."

The InSight lander is the sole seismic station outside of Earth and is part of NASA's Discovery Program.
In April, NASA announced that InSight and seven other planetary science missions would be extended.
