‘GTA 6’ Eats Up Red Dead Online Development As Rockstar Shifts Focus

Red Dead Online, Red Dead Redemption 2's online multiplayer mode, was an attempt by Rockstar to duplicate the success of GTA Online

GTA Online, which has been generating ridiculous amounts of money since since GTA 5 was published.

That did not exactly work out as anticipated, and for years now

there has been a constant tug-of-war between fans who demand more substantial updates and Rockstar who rarely provides them

The wars are now ended, and Grand Theft Auto has defeated Red Dead. specific Grand Theft Auto 6

Red Dead Online's significant new content development will officially end, according to a statement from Rockstar, and resources will instead be devoted on GTA 6.

"Over the past few years, we have gradually shifted more development resources toward the next game in the Grand Theft Auto series

because we understand more than ever the need to exceed players' expectations and for this game to be the best it can be.

As a result, we are currently changing how we support Red Dead Online."

The alterations? They won't add anything new that matters and will only "improve" items that are already in the game

Although they are attempting to make it sound as though they are not declaring the mode to be dead, the fanbase is not taking it that way
