GoldenEye 007 is coming to Nintendo Switch Online for the first time, with online multiplayer for the first time

according to the company's announcement during Tuesday's Nintendo Direct livestream

The James Bond-themed first-person shooter will be added to the Switch's library of Nintendo 64 classics "soon,"

It'll also be available on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S

developer Rare stated that this version will include achievements, 4K resolution, and a smoother framerate

It's unclear whether the Switch version's visuals will be upgraded (Nintendo's console doesn't support 4K

we asked Nintendo and Rare for clarification), but the Switch and Xbox versions will release on the same day.

In an apparent tradeoff, the Xbox version lacks online multiplayer like the Switch version

but it will be free to people who own a digital copy of Rare Replay, a 30-game compilation of classics released in 2015.
