AMD has released new drivers for GPUs it no longer supports

It's been a year since the last update and it isn't clear what's new here either.

Just over a year ago, AMD switched a sizable portion of their graphics cards to a "legacy support strategy"

Since AMD literally stated: "No additional driver releases are scheduled to support these graphics devices,"

you can pretty much interpret "legacy support model" to mean that it has stopped supporting them.

But suddenly, a new driver for its older cards has been made available

If you have an outdated graphics card that has made it onto the list of legacy GPUs, you can download it from its website

It's important to note that the Adrenaline Edition 22.6.1 drivers' support for operating systems varies greatly

It was once only compatible with Windows 10 64-bit

but it is now also compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. 32-bit OS systems are completely out, and Windows 8 appears to be the same way on all counts.
