The Chi’s Curtiss Cook Drops Major Spoilers About Season 5: “It’s Gonna Be Wild!
Mayor Otis “Douda” Perry is a hustler with a political agenda who also works full-time as a politician. But it appears that the drug boss is more complex than his vicious façade suggests.
It didn’t take long for the character’s true colours to emerge once he made his debut in Season 2 of The Chi. In the Season 4 conclusion, an unusual foe drove Douda out of town, appearing to put an end to his reign of terror. However, the showrunners claim that his journey is far from over.
On Friday, June 24, the show makes its Showtime debut for the 2022–23 season. The mayor of the Chi himself, Curtiss Cook, makes a triumphant return in the series premiere. The actor revealed important plot points for Season 5 in an exclusive chat with Distractify. Here is what we discovered.

“I believe that everyone just wants him to be evil right away. They only want him to be a villain… He informed Distractify that it seemed as though he had no heart and that if you got in his way, he would simply kill you. But I believe he is a decent man.
