iPhone 14 Pro Max may get downgraded
When a new model of a phone comes out we expect it to be an upgrade, and that’s certainly the case with the iPhone, as each new model usually has some combination of better and similar specs. But with the iPhone 14 Pro Max, at least one of the specs could be a little bad.
according to the leaker ShrimpApplePro (opens in new tab), the phone packs a 4,323mAh battery, which will be a slight downgrade from the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s 4,352mAh battery. It’s such a small difference that it’s unlikely to have much impact on lives, but it’s definitely a change in the wrong direction.
The source also revealed the potential capacities of other iPhone 14 models, with the standard iPhone 14 apparently listing a 3,279mAh battery (up from the 3,240mAh in the iPhone 13), the iPhone 14 Pro at 3,200mAh (up from 3,095) has been done. mAh in the iPhone 13 Pro), and the new iPhone 14 Max is believed to have 4,325 mAh.

So it’s not all bad news on the battery front, with both the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro apparently getting a little bigger, with the Pro’s boost being the biggest.
The iPhone 14 Max could be the battery winner though, as it has the biggest battery as per this leak. Its capacity is only 14mAh more than the iPhone 2 Pro Max, but with the iPhone 14 Max likely a lower 60Hz refresh rate, it probably won’t be as battery hungry as Apple’s top flagships.
That’s all, we’ll take it with a pinch of salt. The source may be wrong, especially when they say that these specifications are not confirmed. Also, an earlier leak suggested that each model would get a bigger battery than its predecessors.
Analysis: You probably won’t have to worry about iPhone 14 Pro Max’s battery life
Even if this leak is accurate, the battery life of the iPhone 14 Pro Max will be great, as the downgrade is only minor, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max is the longest-lasting iPhone yet.
In fact, for our review we found that its battery life was the best we’ve come across from a modern flagship phone.
So even if the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a slightly worse battery life, it will still have more stamina than the average flagship. Plus, its life couldn’t be worse anyway, as its chipset could be more efficient, and Apple may have made other optimizations.
So while we were – and still are – hoping that Apple will deliver a phone with really excellent battery life, even if it doesn’t, the iPhone 14 Pro Max isn’t particularly likely to disappoint — in fact, it Will probably be one of the best smartphone ever.
