How to watch the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship this week

The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, which gets underway on Thursday at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland, features 19 of the top 20 golfers in the world.

They are also competing for a sizable sum of money, as it was revealed on Tuesday that the overall reward for the competition would double from the $4.5 million offered last year to $9 million this year.

Lydia Ko remarked on Wednesday that it was “very great to be a part of that generation of how much the tour has grown and how much it’s going to continue to expand.” “Our founders made the tour for us, even if it isn’t necessarily while I’m playing, to kind of continuing watching this progress. We all attempt to carry the founder’s spirit with us while performing if we can leave the tour a little bit better than when we arrived.

$1.35 million will be awarded to the victor. Nelly Korda took home $675k last year.

This is the third of this season’s five LPGA majors. The Chevron Championship was won by Jennifer Kupcho in April, and the U.S. Women’s Open was won by Minjee Lee earlier this month. Kupcho also triumphed at the Meijer LPGA Classic last week.
