Halo Infinity Co-op Gameplay Looks Like It Was Worth The Wait
It’s not much time for Halo Infinity’s campaign collaboration to finally come to an end, but thanks to a new leak, we’ve got a clearer idea of how it’s going.
With Halo Infinity Co-op beta testing currently underway for Halo Insiders, a participant known as Foxy 117 quickly leaked footage from this test. Spotted by a very rude-to-straight-name-user at r/GamingLeaksAndRumours (opens in new tab)Foxie117 posted three videos to YouTube, which were widely viewed only three weeks later.
It has since been verified as authentic by r/HaloLeaks, and it’s not hard to see why. Everything seems to be going smoothly, from Halo Infinity’s opening missions, open-world exploration, and showcasing online co-op gameplay to weapons practice. You can find them on Foxie117’s YouTube channel (opens in new tab)While there’s a good chance those videos will be removed later, we’ve included screenshots below.
it’s been a long time coming
Many were disappointed that Halo Infinity didn’t launch in December with campaign support. Ever since Halo: Combat Evolved, every mainline entry has always included it. Meanwhile, there’s a lot to do in Halo Infinity’s multiplayer, but it’s just not the same.
It’s worth keeping expectations in mind here. This leak provides a limited look at the co-op gameplay and since it is not a ready build, better tweaks are needed before launch. Still, if that leaked footage is anything to go by, developer 343 Industries is going to deliver exactly what players are looking for. I can’t wait to dive in with a friend.
Previously, Campaign Co-op was expected to come with the big Halo Infinite update that kicked off Season 2, though developer 343 Industries eventually delayed the feature. Right now, the online co-op aims to launch in August, but anyone looking for a local two-player option will have to wait until November. While it’s later than we had hoped, I daresay Halo fans have a lot more to look forward to this summer.
