7 new movies and TV shows on Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max and more this weekend (June 24)
Following last week’s freshly understated crop of streaming service arrivals, Netflix came out with two tentpole productions whose names will appear on Twitter’s trending page in the coming days.
Seriously, it’s hard to decide which new series is bigger: Money Heist: Korea – United Economic Zone or The Umbrella Academy Season 3. Either way, there’s a lot for Netflix subscribers to be excited about this weekend. There is something — and those who signed up for HBO’s Westworld for the long-awaited release of Season 4 also thank Max in a treat.
Below, we’ve rounded up the seven biggest new movies and TV shows available to stream on Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV Plus, and more this weekend.
Money Heist: Korea – United Economic Zone (Netflix)
Money Heist fans may have watched their beloved Spanish-language Netflix show come to an emotional end last year, but the franchise returns this weekend as Money Heist: Korea – United Economic Zone, which beat Alex Pina’s record- Break is a Korean adaptation of Crime. Chain.
This remake-cum-fellow follows a group of show thieves — led by squid game Star Park Hee-soo – who strives to overtake a newly unified Korea mint in the United Economic Zone. Everyone’s favorite superpowered (and slightly dysfunctional) family makes their long-awaited return to Netflix this weekend.
Umbrella Academy Season 3 sees the Hargreaves clan go toe-to-toe with the equally fictional Sparrow Academy before the two families — to no one’s surprise — are forced to face yet another potentially apocalyptic event. . Interestingly, the show no longer runs parallel to Gerard Way and Gabriel Baa’s graphic novel series (the next volume is yet to be published), so The Umbrella Academy Season 3 also marks some creative departures from previous seasons.
Alas, According to TechRadar’s Resident Entertainment Reporter, Tom Power, the new episodes of the series are “a depressing mix of good and bad ideas” making The Umbrella Academy Season 3 “the weakest entry the series has ever seen”. That being said, superhero fans will still find plenty of butt-kicking action here to enjoy.

Westworld Season 4 (HBO Max)
Westworld fans, your moment has arrived: Season 4 of HBO’s mind-bending sci-fi series begins streaming Sunday on HBO Max in the US and Sky and Now TV in the UK.
With the show not showing up on screens for more than two years, you’d be forgiven for missing out on Westworld’s long-awaited fourth season more than you were familiar with before it — and to be honest, we Still one is a little unsure of where its complex story has left itself. However, we do know that Evan Rachel Wood, Thandive Newton, Ed Harris and even James Marsden will reprise their roles in new episodes, while West Side Story star Ariana DeBos will join the cast as a newcomer. .
Westworld debuted when its first season released in 2016, so we’re honestly hoping that Season 4 can get this super stylish HBO show back on track after a pair of so-so follow-up entries.

Chloe (Prime Video)
After making its UK debut earlier this year to acclaim rave reviews, sex education Writer-director Alice Seabright’s acclaimed thriller series, Chloe, is now available to stream globally on Prime Video.
starring CrownOf Erin Doherty, this six-part show follows Becky, a sober twenty-something who is obsessed with the Instagram account of a councilor’s seemingly innocent wife (Poppy Gilbert). But when the latter suddenly dies, Becky takes on a new personality and attempts to infiltrate the woman’s life in search of answers.
Critics described Chloe as “an absolute feast of a show” when it launched on the BBC in February, so it’s definitely one to check out for fans of the comparable Netflix series. Anna’s Invention (as well as those who enjoyed Seabright’s contribution to sex education).

Booty (Apple TV Plus)
The Starry series keeps coming to Apple TV Plus in 2022.
Booty, a new workplace comedy from duo Alan Yang (Master of None) and Matt Hubbard (30 Rock), follows Maya Rudolph’s Molly Novak, a woman who is faced with an unexpected fate after the betrayal of her husband (Adam Scott). stays together. When Molly learns of the existence of a charity foundation founded in her name, however, she soon learns that with great power comes… you know the rest.
MJ Rodriguez, Ron Funches and Joel Kim Booster star alongside Rudolph in Booty, whose first three episodes are available to stream today. The remaining seven entries of the show are slated to arrive on a weekly basis till August 12.

Man Vs Bees (Netflix)
What else can we say about man vs b that the thumbnail above doesn’t appear already?
This 10-episode Netflix series follows a bumbling father, Trevor (Rowan Atkinson), who finds himself on a collision course with a mischievous bumblebee while sitting home to a wealthy businessman. Determined to rid himself of the irritating pest, Trevor takes matters into his own hands—with hilariously disastrous results.
If beloved British comic Atkinson hadn’t been involved in this ridiculous-seeming project, we’d probably recommend giving it a miss — but the Mr. Bean actor has such enduring appeal that Man Vs Bea actually looks like great fun.

Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe (Paramount Plus)

Gareth Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe (dammit!) revive the iconic cartoon duo for a brand new feature-length adventure on Paramount Plus. Arriving later this year as the harbinger of the pair’s gradual revival, the film begins directly after the events of 1996’s Beavis and Butt-Head Do America and follows the titular teen slackers in the present day, where their Confronting the Internet, Romance and… iPhone?
Franchise producer Mike Judge reprises his role(s) as Beavis and Butt-Head, while several of the comedian’s Silicon Valley co-stars—including Martin Starr, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Jimmy O. Yang is involved – also joins in acting.
